How does Ultrasonic Cavitation work?

The Lipo Firm treatment is the ultimate solution for non-invasive inch loss, body sculpting and cellulite removal. It uses ultrasonic waves to instantly and permanently destroy fat cells to provide patients with a convenient non-invasive, no down time solution to reduce localised fat deposits and body circumference.

When calories exceed demand the extra calories are stored as fat inside the Adipocyte fat cells. The fat contents are stored as a semi-liquid inclusion in the cystosol of each cell. The hand piece of the Lipo Firm Plus appliance is placed on the skin precisely on the area that is to be treated. The machine works with ultrasounds that forms bubbles in the tissues where the fat cells are located. The bubble expands and is immediately compressed afterwards. The temperature increases due to the sudden variation in pressure and the bubble implodes. This implosion damages the fat cells reducing the localised adiposity , the contents of the fat cells (tryglycerides) spill out from the broken cell membrane and are then transported through the body’s natural metabolic functions.

 

How does Radio Frequency Skin Tightening work?

Radio Frequency treatment uses electrical pulses it heats the dermis (the deepest skin layer) through hand pieces without damaging the epidermis (the top layers of the skin), to stimulate new collagen growth and provide an improvement in skin laxity and appearance, to remodel and enhance dermal density with very minimal risks.

The generated heat causes local contraction of the collagen fibres immediately tightening the skin to remodel and re-juvenate the previous effects of ageing. The local fibroblasts stimulate the collagen formation by heating the dermis and it then acts as a new deep foundation for the skin. This produces further delayed tightening, which only becomes evident slowly over the next few months. Radio Frequency also improves blood flow and lymphatic drainage and provides a better oxygen supply and greater toxin clearance.

Is The Procedure Safe? 

It is a safe procedure that can be applied to anyone and our experienced Lipo Firm therapist will go through a thorough consultation along with completing a detailed medical questionaire.  Patients with kidney failure, liver failure, carrying a pacemaker or other electronic devices or who are pregnant, lactating have hypertriglyceridemia or hypercholesterolemia, should avoid this procedure.

Which areas of the body can be treated?

Ultrasonic Cavitation can be performed on the calves, knees, thighs, buttocks, stomach, arms, back and chin. Radio Frequency skin tightening can be performed over the whole body.

How many treatments will I need?

To see maximum results for cellulite, inch loss and body contouring an intitial course of 8 combined Ultrasonic Cavitation + Radio Frequency treatments are recommended with a review at the end.  These treatments should be taken at regular intervals with at least 7 days between treatments. Should further treatments be required we will discuss this with you at your review.

For facial, neck and decollete skin tightening. For the best results we recommend a course of 4 treatments over 4=6 weeks to kick start the process followed by 4 further monthly treatments to consolidate the effect.

 

Does it hurt?

 The Lipo Firm treatment is an extremely comfortable treatment and the only sensations you will experience will be a slight warmth from the radio frequency hand piece and a slight noise from the ultrasonic equipment.

 

Is it suitable for both men and women?

All of our treatments work equally well on both men and women.

 

What inch loss could I achieve from this treatment?

This will vary from person to person depending on your size and results will be greatly improved by your own commitment. The greatest result achieved so far over 8 treatments has been a loss of 16 inches in the abdominal area.
